Abby Thrasher Hurst

Dr. Thrasher comes to us from Danielsville, GA, a town just outside Athens where she completed her bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia with a major in Animal Science. She attended veterinary school at Lincoln Memorial University, located in the Cumberland Gap area of Tennessee, and even completed one of her clinical rotations here at Bluegrass. In May 2022 she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Thrasher's primary professional interests include pet nutrition and nurturing the Human-Animal Bond. Outside of work she enjoys a good mix of lazy days at home and exploring Knoxville. Dr. Thrasher is super excited to join Bluegrass's team.
